Hi! I’m the mama. I’m a former nanny and newborn care specialist living in California. After working with infants and toddlers for almost 12 years, I’ve left to start a family of my own.

Wait, what? No! was created in response to my very unexpected pregnancy. It was a “No!” of excitement, shock, and disbelief. I have an autoimmune disorder and a metabolic disorder and have thought for over a decade that it would be impossible for me to conceive without major interventions. After ten years of fighting to heal myself and preserve whatever fertility I had left so I could try to get pregnant in the future, me and my partner found ourselves very unexpectedly expecting when we weren’t actually trying to conceive.
